Bus Tour Description:

Bus Tour Description:

Touring sites associated with the Sept. 19, 1862 Battle of Iuka. Here a Union force under General William Rosecrans defeated the advance of Confederate General Sterling Price. After lunch we will tour sites in historic Corinth associated with the siege and battle. Sites to visit:

  • 11th Ohio Battery position
  • Confederate Cemetery
  • Corinth National Battlefield Visitor Center
  • Battery Robinett – 2nd Texas fatal attack
  • Extant Siege Works
  • Davis Bridge

Bus Tour Description:

Today we will visit Brice’s Crossroads and Tupelo battle sites following the trail of Nathan Bedford Forrest in one of his greatest victories and most disastrous defeats (Tupelo).

  • Tishamingo Creek
  • Forrests’ attack line
  • Exclusive tour of Lochinvar Plantation
  • Coonewah Creek where Confederate General S.D. Lee unsuccessfully tried to break the Union line on July 13, 1864
